Queen Anoshi, author of Gemini Breed, has been so gracious and kind enough to agree to be featured on the blog for a short Q & A. Below are some of the questions I asked her based on my reading experience of the book and what I was curious to know. Let us know your thoughts in the comment box below!
Q: What inspired you to write this book?
Queen Anoshi: Love inspired me to write this book, Loving so deeply that I found healing in it. Both Mentally and Spiritually.
Q: In writing a book that speaks volumes but about mind control, what was the message you wanted to send to your readers?
Queen Anoshi: I deal with PTSD which Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. And from it I feel as though I am being controlled by having to take the medication that I take. I wanted people to know that there are so many forces greater than us mere humans and that what you see on the surface is not always reality. We can be judgmental about what we see others when we don't really know what is going with them at the moment.
Q: Why did you choose to have the Haitian culture as the root of your story?
Queen Anoshi: I am part Haitian by way of my father. My Grandfather was Haitian and my grandmother Jamaican. I believe that we are a beautiful people and I wanted to talk about us. I think we are magical.
Q: The couples in the story had a complicated relationship at best, how do you think romantic love impacted the story?
Queen Anoshi: Romantic love had everything to do with this story in the fact that without love, I couldn’t have written this book with the passion I did. I think that romantic love can make even the weakest person strong when it is true.
Q: What can we expect from you next?
Queen Anoshi: I have two books out Soul Mates which started my soul mate series, Queen of Spades. I am working on King of Hearts and Gemini Breed 2 Gemini Stones.
