Hmm, where to start? The beginning the book was not particularly my favorite. The use and frequency of the poem kind of threw me off, but this could also be due to a cultural and generational difference. I almost stopped reading, but once I made it past the first few chapters, the book immediately started to capture my interest. The plot definitely got a lot more interesting! Sure, the subject matter may be a little difficult to digest for some people (past lives), but it is something that I am actually quite fascinated by. The author also does a good job of providing a social commentary on the current state of society and mankind. The need for "womankind" is definitely a step up from the "Girl Power" theme that dominated the late 90s!
